URŠKA MEDVED
COMFROT(ST)ATION FOR CONFRONTATION
The project “Comfort(st)ation for confrontation” is a collaboration between two young artists, Mia Štark from Croatia and Urška Medved from Slovenia who both express themselves in the fields of visual and performative arts. Štark works mostly in video, printmaking and performance/contemporary dance, and Medved in textile, installation and performative art. They have found a common ground in the research of a space in between the fields: they will share among each other their artistic practices, and will take from one another everything necessary for creating their specific space.
“Comfort(st)ation for confrontation” is a durational performative piece or rather a live instalation; a “construction site” that becomes a place/space for finding a peace of mind. Two authors coexist in a space for a week, organizing and building a station for comfort and turning the gallery space into the space of connection and ease. They create a space for exchange of energies, moments that develop into a new reality, a new space. The audience is invited and welcome to share, experience and co-create the space with artists. To join a safe space to be, to express and (co)exist.
